The Florida A&M University School of Nursing is the oldest continuing baccalaureate nursing program in the United States at a historically black institution. Established in 1904 as a hospital based program, it became the first baccalaureate program in Florida in 1936.
Our mission is to create a student-centered environment where knowledgeable, innovative, caring nurses can apply high quality, culturally appropriate care to meet the health needs of the residents of the state, the nation, and the global community.
Learn more about how we prepare graduates to serve as leaders of the nursing team, and function collaboratively within the healthcare system to deliver evidence-based, culturally sensitive nursing care to individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations.
Our staff members are trained to provide personalized academic support, career guidance, and an array of other services to pre-professional and professional level nursing students.
As you embark on the path towards your nursing career, we are here to cultivate you along your journey. We provide custom education modalities that are tailored to the needs of the student. We are experienced educators that take nursing, science, and healthcare concepts and present it in an organized format that is easy to absorb. We offer personal consultations, group sessions, virtual webinars, and simulations.
